I really enjoy Chanel and their runway production, the art and set designs are incredible and there are many artists from various fields that come together to produce the shows, they also use many channels of CMC to post the content such as Podcasts, YouTube, & Chanel site. I really enjoy the film, clothing, & music in the production: runway fashion brings many elements and practices of art together in creating their shows. Here is the 2013 show, I really like the live music in the production.
I have used a site http://www.cdbaby.com to publish my recordings, they are known as an aggregator, this means they are company that works between artists and corporations such as Apple, Amazon, Spotify, and many other on-line music retailers. They allow a person to make an artist page on their site and people can purchase directly from your page or they can find your music on multiple on-line sources, they also allow for you to choose what networks to link your music and other artist website such as myspace, sound cloud, and Facebook. Here is my artist page take a look. http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/anti2
I have created an account at Vimeo last week to post a final film for my Streaming Media course. The film is about Champlain College's Art Division and the local art community in Burlington,VT; there is a mixed forum of art including statues, scultures, photos, painting, street art, murals, and various different locations in the local area. I produced the film doing all phases of filming, photography, editing, writing the script, and shot selection. I had alot of sound editing to do with this project because there was tons of background noise due to the fact we could not find a vacant quiet location on campus to conduct the interview of Professor Nadel.
CMC is computer mediated communications and this is the new way to keep in contact with your friends and family, it is also a great way to expose your artistic content via social sites and content sharing site. YouTube and Vimeo are my favorite video pages to share my work. Take a look at video of mine with sound edits I did, on YouTube.com.
